Women Schooling Practice and Significance during the Process of Hunan Education Modernization ——Exemplified by Zhu Jianfan’s “destroying home for the sake of schooling development”

Abstract:Zhu Jianfan’s action of “destroying home for the sake of schooling development”is rare in modern education history, which makes women schooling root and then grow in Hunan, and the new-style education pattern more complete and diversified. Zhu’s advocation for women schooling is part of Hunan education, even part of the whole system of Chinese education modernization. The interpretation of his reasons and inner motives when running school can highlight the social function and scholar value of women schooling practice, widening the exploration of education modernization.
