中文摘要:“内圣外王”一语出自《庄子·天下篇》,它的提出有着当时社会历史与学术思想文化上的背景。庄子之提出“内圣外王之道”,并不是通过从正面界定其内涵,而是通过考察诸家对“内圣外王之道”的认识和运用上的偏差而提出来的。这一思想的提出具有庄子特色的认识论上的意义,其认识论上的意义主要关涉认识的层次、对象与认识的态度等方面的问题。

The Putting Forth of the Idea “Be Sage within and Kingly without” in Zhuangzi's Tianxiapian and Its Epistemological Meaning
Abstract:The term “be sage within and kingly without” is put forth firstly in the works of Daoism's Zhuangzi Tianxiapian. We should understand it in the background of the social history and academic culture of that time. Zhuangzi had put forth the idea “be sage within and kingly without”, but he did not define its connotation directly, he talked a lot about the cognition and exercise of the term. The putting forth of the idea had a kind of epistemological meaning with Zhuangzi's characteristics. Its epistemological meaning is mainly related to the problems of the levels, object, and attitude of cognition.
