The Special Chapter about the Rituals in the Song Dynasty—Originally Studying the Value of Historical Data about Li Zhi of Song Shi

Abstract:The value of historical data about li Zhi of Song Shi mainly shows in four aspects：First, its records are rather systematical and rich in whole and local part. Second, it keeps some valuable historical data, such as law and petition, theories about rituals and so on. Third, it corrects the shortcomings and mistakes of other books. For example, there are mistakes of time, name, official and place. Finally li Zhi of Song Shi are historical resources of governmental and private books in later dynasty.
