| On the Study Style and the Ideological Contents of Zhang Shi's Annotation of Analects of Confucius |

| Abstract:Annotation of Analects of Confucius is Zhang Shi's masterpiece . Zhang Shi has the greatest esteem for the Cheng Brothers. In Zhang’s book, there are large quantities of the quotation or the extended meaning of the Cheng Brothers’ works, the features of the Cheng Brothers’ style is quite obvious in Zhang’s book. Meanwhile, Zhang has made a creative interpretation of The Analects of Confucius, focusing on the elucidation of philosophical connotations, and pursuing the coherence and flexibility of philosophical connotations. Moreover, the Annotation of Analects of Confucius is the masterpiece of Zhang Shi for expressing the idea of Neo Confucianism. In the process of interpretation, Zhang Shi integrated the viewpoint of Neo Confucianism into the texts of The Analects of Confucius, endowing The Analects of Confucius with vivid features of Neo Confucianism. |
