中文摘要:从先秦到汉唐时期,众多学者都对"今之学者为人"一语进行了解释,且大多偏向从负面理解"为人", 但具体解释又并不一致。到宋代,对"为人"的理解方面的歧异进一步加大。有的学者认为"为人"没有贬义,有的学者则把"为人"完全作贬义使用。南宋中期,朱熹进一步强化了为己之学与为人之学的区分,将为人之学作为为己之学的对立面加以彻底否定。对"为人"诠释的这种变化,是宋代儒学内倾的反映。当时,众多儒家学者将理论思考的重心从社会政治实践领域转向内在的心性修养,因而,强调内在心性修养的"为己"之学受到格外的重视与强调,而"为人"作为"为己"的对立面,则逐渐被赋予了完全的负面色彩。

Interpretations on “Nowadays, Men Learn with a View to the Approbation of Others” and the Introversion of Neo-Confucianism in Song Dynasty
Abstract:From the Pre-Qin to the Han and Tang Dynasties, many scholars have made a lot of explanation on “nowadays, men learn with a view to the approbation of others”.In the Song Dynasty, different elaborations on this issue multiplied. Some scholars believe that it was not derogatory, while other scholars have completely opposite views.In the mid-Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi further strengthened the distinction between “learning for oneself” and “learning for others”, and he completely negated “learning for others” as the antithesis of “learning for oneself”. This change in the interpretation of the “learning for others” was a reflection of the introversion of Neo-Confucianism in Song Dynasty. At that time, what many Confucian scholars were mainly concerned about were the Xin-xing and Selfcultivation, rather than social and political practice. Thus,“learning for oneself” has received special attention ,which emphasized the Xin-xing and Selfcultivation. However, “learning for others” is gradually being cast a completely negative color which is regarded as the antithesis of “learning for oneself”.
