| Abstract:Rewriting myths, folk tales or history is one of the important writing techniques employed by Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison, which is fully embodied in her masterpiece Beloved. Therefore, this paper intends to analyze Morrison’s motivations and the ethical meanings of rewriting based on the comparative study of Beloved and Margaret Garner’s story in details and parts of plot. |
