| “The Eyes” in Flannery O’Connor’s Wise Blood |

| Abstract:The eye image occurs frequently in American novelist Flannery O’Connor’s Wise Blood. It is highly symbolic. It represents the passion for knowledge and truth which leads the protagonist to achieve self-knowledge. It also symbolizes the eye of the mind which guides the modern people to seek their spiritual home. Not all the eyes have the vision of the eye of the mind. The eye of the mind can be achieved only after the loss of the physical eye. |
