| The Principals’ Origin and the Development of Yuelu Academy |

| Abstract:The principals of Yuelu Academy, whose origin mostly came from official education, had the experience as a government officer. The principals’s origin made Yuelu Academy have official background which differed from the other academies. Most of the principals’ native place were Hunan, which reflected the regional characteristic of Yuelu Academy. The origin of the principals had a significant influence on the development of Yuelu Academy. |
