| The Radicals’Ideaistic Foundation and the Ideal Objective To Oppose the Traditional Culture in The New Cultural Movement |

| Abstract:The Radicals appeared in The New Cultural Movement in China from 1915s to 1923s have caused extensive discussions among the academic circles due to their fierce anti-traditional attitude; some scholars hold that the radicals’ tend to be one-sided, while other scholars argue that these radicals did not mean to launch a complete negation of the traditional culture. It goes without denying that the radicals as a whole were inclined to negate the Chinese culture, but it is also true that their negative one-sided selection was made on a theoretical rather than casual basis. In view of this, if the radicals’ thought is regarded as being one-sided then it is also a kind of profound and historical one-sidedness. |
