| Interpretation Features of Fan Zuyu's Explanations on the Analects |

| Abstract:Fan Zuyu's Explanations on the Analects shows general features of the Neo-Confucianism on The Analects study in Song Dynasty. It not only attaches great importance to the comprehensive and coherent interpretation of The Four Books, but also advocates being holy through honesty which emphatically expounds the Theory of Human Nature and the relationship between “the ritual” and “the reason”. Fan Zuyu's Explanations on the Analects also has its own extraordinary and distinct character. It lays stress on testifying The Analects by referring to classical examples in history. At the same time, it pays special attention to explore theories on the Practical Confucianism. Therefore, Fan's works hold a place on The Analects study in Song Dynasty. |
