| Research on the Relationship between Energy Efficiency and Economic Growth in China——Based on PSTR Model |

| Abstract:This paper, which uses super efficiency DEA method to calculate the energy efficiency, empirically researches the relationship between energy efficiency and economic growth during 2000-2013 by using the panel smooth transition regression model. The empirical results show that there is mechanism conversion effect between economic growth and energy efficiency. When the economic development is in the low income levels, the relationship between energy efficiency and economic growth is linear. While the economic development is in the higher income levels, the relationship between energy efficiency and economic growth turns nonlinear. And the relationship will smooth the conversion among different mechanisms which is bounded by the threshold of per capita GDP. |
