Abstract:Xingbei Tower, which frequently appeared in Juyan and Jinguan wood slips, is a postal relay station in charge of delivering the official documents located in the north-south postal route between Tuota scouting area and Jianshui scouting area, and there has been no study on the concrete location of this tower till now. This article attempts to prove that Xingbei Tower located at the walled yard affiliated to the Jinguan Pass based on the wood slips mainly unearthed from the Jinguan site (A32), such as the boundary sign for daily inspecting tour, the signatures on the name lists for the people who go through the pass, and the tags tied on the weapons, and further presume the rough place of Shatou Tower, the next post office in the south by the information provided by a wood slip. |
