| 中文摘要:文化精神标识语作为文化信息基本单位，具有文化模因性。习近平重要讲话的用典是中国文化精神标识语的重要内容。从道金斯的文化进化论视角，探讨这一标识语的翻译传播对跨文明关系发生的机制与意义。课题组在美国与德国开展的专业性问卷调查结果表明，用典官方译文的接受度高于汉学家译文。中国文化精神标识语承载着本质性的中国文化特征，翻译需要激活其文化模因性，以利于中华文化模因在世界文明模因库中得到复制、变异与选择，传播性翻译是实现这一目的的有效方式。 |

| On the Memetic Property of Translating Cultural Verbal Signs |

| Abstract:As a basic unit of cultural information, a cultural verbal sign is memetic in nature. It is exemplified in the allusions in Xi Jinping’s influential political speeches. This paper explored the translation of a cultural verbal sign and its significance for the occurrence of cross-civilization relationship from the perspective of memetics conceived by Dawkins. Based on the results of the online surveys on the translation evaluation of Xi’s allusions in Germany and America, it is assumed that the acceptability of the official version is higher than that of the quotes from the Chinese Classics rendered by former sinologists. It is argued that a cultural verbal sign embodies the essence of Chinese cosmology and hence, its memetic properties need activating in translating so as to facilitate the replication, mutation and selection of Chinese cultural memes in the world civilization meme pool, for which communicative translation strategy proves to be effective. |
