Abstract:The spread of Tao Te Ching in the western world is a classic case of Chinese traditional culture going to the world.This article outlines the diachronic spread of Lao Zi's writings and ideas in the western world, including the english world, french world, russian world, german world and spanish world, during the past two hundred years.
