中文摘要:东汉儒者抱持通经致用之旨,在《论语》训释中着重还原礼学的历史传承,推阐礼学的现实功用,透过辨析礼容、考述礼制、发挥礼义等方式展现儒家礼学的丰富意蕴。包咸训释《论语》承继西汉儒者依文衍义的特点,着重阐扬礼学的教化功能。马融对《论语》的诠释则参酌《仪礼》《周礼》,通过经典间的互证以考订礼制,显示出训诂之学对章句之学的逐步取代。郑玄以《周礼》为本,熔“三礼”于一炉,弥合经书异义,又注重探求礼制通变损益之道,将文本注释、义理建构、现实关怀绾而为一,为后世儒者以礼解经提供了重要范式。

A Study on the Implications of Ritual in the Interpretation of the Analects by Scholars of the Eastern Han Dynasty
Abstract:With the aim of interpreting the classics and transforming society, Confucians of the Eastern Han Dynasty paid particular attention to restoring the lineage of Confucian rituals in their interpretation of the Analects, explaining the role of rituals in real society, and demonstrating the richness of Confucian rituals by identifying the study of manners and appearance, examining ancient ritual systems, and expounding on the utility of rituals. Bao Xian’s interpretation of the Analects inherited the characteristics of Western Han Confucians who spoke in tandem with the text, focusing on the edifying function of ritual. Ma Rong’s interpretation of the Analects selected two books, Yi Li and Zhou Li, as supporting evidence to test the ancient system through mutual proofs between the texts. Ma Rong’s interpretation reflected the historical process by which exegesis gradually emerged to replace the study of chapter and verse. Zheng Xuan’s use of Zhou Li as a base and his integration of the three Rites into one furnace, bridging the differences between the classics and exploring the ways in which the ritual system could be changed and improved, combined textual exegesis, doctrinal construction and practical concern, and provided an important model for later Confucian scholars to interpret the Confucian classics through ritual.
