| 中文摘要:孟子所谓“以意逆志”既是经典诠释之法，也是知人之法和修身之法。其确切涵义是指，以表现于作品中的客观意指和主观意向为表征和线索，深刻体认作者的根本精神并感发读者本人的自我理解与生存自觉。所谓“逆志”既不是对象化的心理分析，也不是基于“人情不远”的意图揣测，而是在知人与自知之间相互循环，首先是对作者精神的探本索源和见微知著，最终是基于精神感通的双向体认乃至对心性本体的“逆觉”。就我国经典诠释传统而言，孟子“以意逆志”说的突出贡献在于奠定了有关诠释目的和诠释方法的基本观念。 |

| An In-depth Exploration of Mencius’ Doctrine of “Tracing Back to the Writer’s Aspiration”—Based on the Tradition of Knowing People in the Pre-Qin Period |

| Abstract:Mencius’doctrine that “tracing back to the writer’s aspiration according to his words” is not only a method of classic interpretation，but also a method of knowing people and a way of self-cultivation. Its exact meaning refers to taking the objective will and subjective intention expressed in works as symbols and clues，to deeply recognize the fundamental spirit of the author and to stimulate the reader’s own self-understanding and existential awareness. Therefore，this doctrine is neither an objectified psychological analysis nor a speculation of intentions based on the proximity of human feelings，but a mutual cycle between knowing people and self-awareness. It not only requires reverse knowing for tracing back to the source and predicting the future through details，but also empathetic and bidirectional embodied knowing and even “spiritual awakening”.In terms of the Chinese tradition of classical hermeneutics, Mencius’ doctrine makes a prominent contribution by laying the foundation for basic concepts regarding the purpose and methods of interpretation. |
